Toilet Repair Man

If all else fails I can always fall back on my skills as a toilet repair man. To date I’ve completely overhauled all of the mechanical innards in both toilets in my house. No more phantom flushes here, my friends.

  1. Comments are still slightly borked for the time being. I can now get all the comment text, but any paragraph formatting is lost. Please comment as normal, and I'll keep working to get things straightened out.
  1. I live in a apt building in Brooklyn Ny. We are having a change of ownership, and no longer currently have a landlord. My toilet lever doesnt work, it seem to be disconnected from the toilet, and I have to flush the toilet manually using the white strip. How much would it cost to come and fix it for me?
  2. That'd be one seriously expensive house call since I live in Richmond, Virginia. Besides, I'm not a plumber at all... this post was just after I bought my house and had done some work for myself (it was intended to be a joke). Having said that, your problem doesn't sound so difficult that you couldn't possibly fix it yourself. If I understand you correctly, the chain that connects the flapper to the flush lever is disconnected... all you need to do is reconnect them. If the lever itself is broken, you can pick one up for less than $10 a hardware store. If all else fails, check the yellow pages for a plumber in your area. I hope this helps.
