What to Say

Without any progress on the house, there hasn’t been much to say since Wednesday. Yesterday morning I drove down to Mom & Dad’s for a belated birthday dinner for Mom and just returned home about an hour ago. My nephew was supposed to have his first soccer game this weekend, so the plan was to consolidate everything so I could take pictures. There was, however, no soccer game, so the day was spent driving all over Norfolk and Chesapeake to visit various furniture stores in search of potential furniture for the living room once I’m ready to spend some money. I found a few nice pieces that really interested me, but again, I’m really not prepared to lay out the cash at the moment. My current furniture, while old and ugly, is still perfectly functional.

I’ve turned off the heat pump and and opened up all the windows… anyone who knows me should know how big a step this is for me. I’ve been known to run the AC well into October (in my defense, the apartment had but one window other than the sliding glass door, so circulation was always a problem). The humidity is low and the occasional breeze is wonderful.
