No, I haven’t broken any records today, but I did do a couple of things today that can be considered work.

Since the weather is un-freaking-believable right now (it’s November 6th and the temperature is 75 degrees with a light breeze), I absolutely had to put a new screen door in the sliding glass door in my office. I took the old one out a few weeks ago before the party because it was badly bent and more apt to come off the track than slide. For $30 at Home Depot I got a replacement that went up without a hitch and slides back and forth just as it was intended.

I pressure washed the driveway again so I could return the washer to Mike tomorrow. Dad spilled peanut oil on the driveway when he fried the turkeys at the party, so after a liberal dose of Simple Green (I love the way that stuff smells) to loosen the grease I cleaned the driveway.

I also hung a new bird feeder today. Instead of chain, I used stainless steel safety wire. I’d say something like “Let’s so those damn squirrels chew through this” but then I’d be sure to come home from work tomorrow and find the bird feeder in pieces on the ground.
