Peel Me A Grape
The bowl is basically finished which leaves me to start something new tonight. I need to make one final pass over it to make sure there are no edges that have lifted up. If there are, I’ll go over each spot with some more paper and then it’ll be finished for sure.
The idea here was that this is the outer skin of some sort of spheroid type thing (a grape, maybe?)—thus, “Peel Me a Grape,” after the old standard. I like the idea and will probably do a couple more in this vein. I think it’ll look pretty cool holding some fruit as a table centerpiece.
This weekend I’m going to experiment with putting a polyurethane finish over the paper.
