Moonie

I’m capitulating to Jane’s demands… I’ve begun working on a Norman of her own. I’m going to document the process from start to finish here. So far I’ve finished the frame and I’ve started covering it with tape to provide the substrate for the paper.

I’m leaving the back open for the time being so that I can add some counterweight to the chin area to keep him from falling backwards. I want him to appear to be leaning as far back as he can, but I want him to be stable enough not to flip over. I think I’ll go by Wal-Mart at lunch tomorrow and raid the fishing department. Hopefully they have nice sized lead sinkers. Otherwise I’ll check the hunting section for muzzleloading ammo. A handful of 50-caliber round ball should do the trick nicely.

The finished dimensions are going to be about 16″ x 16″ x 7″.
